Narcissistic Youth Sexlessness: Porn and Relationships in a Dying World
Professor Sam Vaknin discusses the decline in sexual activity and satisfaction, particularly among younger generations, attributing it to rising narcissism, inhibitions, distractions, and environmental factors. He notes that casual sex is less satisfying than relationship sex, and that women are avoiding bad sex. The consequences of this decline include a collapse in birth rates and a rise in single adults living without partners. Additionally, pornography is reducing the desire for real-life sex, and dating apps are inefficient.
From Grooming to Discard via Shared Fantasy: Cheat, Mortify, Exit
Professor Sam Vaknin discusses the cycle of relationships with a narcissist, which follows a pattern of five phases: grooming, shared fantasy, interstitial one with two options, mortification or anti-fantasy, and interstitial two. The narcissist creates a shared fantasy to extract sex, supply, and services from their partner, and the shared fantasy allows them to avoid true intimacy and commitment. Cheating is an option for women who want to escape the shared fantasy and create an alternative sanctuary with another man. The fourth phase, the anti-fantasy phase, occurs when the partner tries to transition from the shared fantasy to reality, and the narcissist becomes indecisive and approach avoidant. Mortification is crucial to end the shared fantasy, and the narcissist switches to internal or external mortification
Boomers Pandemic, Millennials Cost, Bubble World – Part 2 of 2
The Great Recession damaged young workers to such an extent that they have never succeeded in recovering. Millennials were affected by structural changes in the economy, leading to a two-track labor market with high-paying jobs going to college graduates and postgraduates, while others make a pittance. Millennials are the most educated, diverse, and responsible generation, but they are still screwed by their elders who are nothing of the sort. The pandemic has exposed that if you’re young, a minority, a woman, or part of an imaginalist group, you’re screwed.
Four Pillars of Self-love
Self-love is about having a realistic view of oneself and pursuing happiness and favorable outcomes. It is essential for living a proper life and being capable of loving and being loved. The four conditions for healthy self-love are self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-trust, and self-efficacy. These conditions are necessary for survival and guide individuals to make rational, realistic, and beneficial decisions. Experience alone is not enough without self-love, as self-love serves as a reliable compass in life.
Vaccination Primer and COVID-19 Good News
Sam Vaknin discusses various topics, including his background, medical studies, offers he received, and the pandemic. He delves into vaccines, the immune system, and the potential COVID-19 vaccine. He expresses caution about universal vaccination and advocates for thorough clinical trials.
Rejection and Abandonment in Cluster B Personality Disorders and Their Intimate
Professor Sam Vaknin discusses how individuals with Cluster B personality disorders react to rejection. He explains that these individuals have difficulty distinguishing between their internal and external worlds, leading to confusion and a reliance on their bodies to communicate with their minds. Each type of Cluster B personality disorder reacts differently to rejection: narcissists with rage, primary psychopaths with aggression, secondary psychopaths with a mix of emotions, classic borderlines with extreme splitting, and histrionics with attempts to restore self-esteem. All Cluster B personality disorders tend to somatize, using their bodies to regulate their internal environment.
COVID-19: The Panicdemic and What’s to Come
Professor Sam Vaknin discusses the COVID-19 pandemic, comparing it to the flu and questioning the panic surrounding it. He argues that the panic is causing more harm than the virus itself, as people are dying from lack of medical treatment for other conditions and from the effects of social isolation. Vaknin believes that the pandemic will peak soon and that the world will be left to deal with the consequences of the panic for years to come.
COVID-19 Panic Merchants: Lies, Conspiracies, and Statistics (Oh, and Science)
Dr. Anthony Fauci has been accused of providing misleading information about the COVID-19 death rate, using a higher rate in popular media than in academic papers. This has led to conspiracy theories about the government’s intentions. The panic created by the pandemic is intentional to keep people indoors, as medical professionals and politicians are unsure of the virus’s capabilities. Some experts argue that COVID-19 is not much worse than a bad flu, and that the current measures may force the virus to mutate and become more dangerous.
Pandemics: COVID-19 and Life’s Meaninglessness (also in Abusive Relationships)
In this lecture, Professor Sam Vaknin discusses two pandemics: COVID-19 and the meaninglessness of life in abusive relationships. He argues that the COVID-19 pandemic is not growing exponentially, but rather in a linear progression, and that the pandemic is largely over. Vaknin also discusses the importance of meaningful interpersonal relationships and how narcissists, psychopaths, histrionics, and borderlines are incapable of having such connections. In abusive relationships, the abuser controls their victim by rendering their life meaningless and inconsequential, leading to self-destructive behavior and trauma for the victim.
Borderline Woman as Dissociative Secondary Psychopath
Borderline Personality Disorder and Psychopathy may not be as different as previously thought. Recent studies suggest that Borderline and Histrionic Personality Disorders may be manifestations of secondary type psychopathy in women. Survivors of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) also exhibit psychopathic and narcissistic behaviors. Borderline Personality Disorder can be described as a subspecies of Dissociative Identity Disorder, with mood lability and emotional dysregulation being outward manifestations of changes in self-states.
